On Sunday afternoon, Florida State Seminoles head coach Willie Taggart picked up the biggest commitment in his short time in Tallahassee. Four star linebacker Xavier Peters flipped from the Kentucky Wildcats to the Seminoles after finishing up his official visit this past weekend.

Peters, who is from West Chester, Ohio is one of the best linebackers in the class of 2018 recruiting cycle. Even though this is a huge pickup for the Noles, we definitely have to address the elephant in the room. One of the main reasons that many believed Peters was still committed to Kentucky was due to his grades. There were rumors that Kentucky wouldn’t let him sign during the early signing period because of this. Obviously, I would think the Noles coaching staff would know this and probably believe he can get his grades in order. While this was a great pickup, it will be interesting to see if Peters will be in Tallahassee once recruits report in the summer.
