Now that Willie Taggart has taken over as the head coach at Florida State, many have wondered which coaches from the current staff will be kept. While there have been any names floating around for different position, we do know that the Seminoles will have a new running back coach. Last Friday, Billy Liucci of TexAgs.com broke the news that Jay Graham will follow Jimbo Fisher to Texas A&M.

I have seen plenty of discussion about this move and whether or not this hurts Florida State. When it comes to coaching running backs, it’s hard to dismiss what Graham has done in Tallahassee. He oversaw the careers of Devonta Freeman, James Wilder Jr, Dalvin Cook and the rising Cam Akers. Graham consistently gotten the best out his backs, so him leaving does sting a little bit. I wasn’t to impress with his recruiting compared to the others that were on the staff. And I also wasn’t a fan of the special teams units that he was in charge. While losing Graham does hurt, Florida State fans shouldn’t be too concerned about it. You are going to have plenty of coaches that will ready to put themselves in position to get this job. It will be interesting to see who Taggart targets and eventually bring to be the coach.
